Mindfulness. Meditation. Gratitude.

What keywords have the universe been sending your way?

Mindfulness, meditation and gratitude have been appearing regularly on social media, feeding me information and quotes as if the universe was trying to tell me something. I took this as a sign to place my efforts into a passion of mine. #CheersfromQ was created as an avenue for me to share advice, help and learn from others on how to live a fulfilling life.

Below are some techniques that I have incorporated into my life in these areas.

Mindfulness

Setting a daily intention has been a lesson I learned from Gabby Bernstein. Before I leave the house, every morning I take out a new card from the “Universe Has Your Back” deck . The intention from each card helps guide me throughout the day. One of my favorite quotes was “I always trust the direction of the universe and know I’m being guided”

What are techniques you have used successfully to be mindful in your life?

Mindfulness and Mediation

The connection between the two was a lesson I learned this last month. I was introduced and finished the 30 day mindfulness mediation program by Vanessa Loder. I was sent a daily 5-minute meditation and completed this every morning that I could. I can proudly say that I was successful in 26 out of the 30 days in this program.

I felt more aware of my feelings and thoughts at the end of the program. Once I added this to my daily morning routine, it was easier to continue and helped ground me for the day.

Are there any meditation programs or applications that you use to be more mindful?

Gratitude

I have recently listened to podcasts from influencers such as Arianna Huffington and Oprah Winfrey. I noticed one key theme in some of their episodes: the importance of writing down what you are grateful for each day.

Two ways that I have started to incorporate this into my daily routine are the following:

  1. In my 5 second journal, there is a section that asks “Right now, I am grateful for…” This quick sentence helps me jot down my first grateful thought of the day.

  2. Before heading to bed, I scroll through the pages of the Tiny Buddha Gratitude Journal and find a page that has a question that prompts memories or thoughts to close out the day peacefully.

How often are you taking the time to write down what you are grateful for?

I’d love to hear your feedback below on what you have done to be more mindful, programs you use to help with meditation and ways you take time show gratitude.

Until next time -

Cheers, “Q”
